Citing the Bible
Daniel spoke saying “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring.” (New King James Version, Daniel 7:2).
Any additional references just cite book, chapter and verse.  The reader knows what version of the bible you are using.

Citing a Book:
Author(s). Title of Book. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication.
Example: McBrien, Richard. Lives of the Popes. New York: Harper Collins, 1997.

Article from a reference book:
“Name of Article.” Name of Reference Material. Year of Publication. Example: “Ireland.” World Book Encyclopedia. 2007 Ed.

Magazine or Newspaper Article

An article on a web site:
It is mandatory to list your date of access because web posting change frequently and are often updated, and information available at one date may no longer be available later. Be sure to include the complete address for the site. Author(s). “Article Title.” Name of web site.  Date of posting/revision. Name of institution/organization affiliated with site.  Date of access .

STEPS TO SENDING AN ATTACHMENT


Step 1: go to www.cardinalhayes.org

Step 2: scroll down to the bottom of page where it says students, faculty and staff email log in

Step 3: type your name first initial and last name.

Step 4: type your name first initial and last name and type in your personal password

Step 5: go to compose new e-mail (this is just above inbox) click on the icon.

Step 6: in the To section type in the name of the person the e-mail is going.

For example: rhewitt@cardinalhayes.org

Step 7: click on the attachment icon.

Step 8: click on the browse icon.

Step 9: click on the section where your document is located… for example if your document is on the desktop click on the name of the document

Step 10: click on the open box at the end of the screen.

Step 11: click on add attachment now box; and a little box will appear with the name of the file and the file size.

Step12: click on the send button (this is right above the message icon.)

Borrowing/Returning/Using Library Materials

In order to borrow a book, video or CD from the library a student must have his Student I.D. card.

If you wish to use a computer you must:
Wait for a computer to be assigned to you.
Use the computer only for teacher assignments

Library Regulations

The library is staffed by a professional librarian who is ready to assist students in their research assignments, locating a book for school assignment or just reading a book for his leisure time.
